Weighing 160 kg, the STIGA Tornado 398 M Petrol Lawn Tractor measures 1,726 mm (length) x 1,200 mm (width) x 1,100 (height). It is powered by a 414 cc STIGA ST 400 engine, with a maximum power output of 7.1 kW at 2,800 rpm. This rear-wheel-drive ride-on mower uses mechanical transmission and can also mow in its reverse gear.

Featuring a side discharge chute, the Tornado 398 M is fitted with a 98 cm cutting deck, including two blades. It has seven different cutting heights, ranging from 25 to 80 mm, easily adjustable via a convenient lever positioned next to the driver’s seat.

The STIGA Tornado’s Two Mowing Options

While the STIGA Tornado 398 is a side-discharge ride-on mower as standard, it also comes with a mulching plug. This allows you to recycle the grass clippings to enrich your lawn.

Mechanical Transmission (Six Gears)

This garden tractor is designed with mechanical transmission. It includes five forward gears and one reverse gear. The gear stick is within easy reach, just to the right of the driver’s seat.

Electromagnetic Clutch

Stopping and starting the cutting mechanism is easy, thanks to an electromagnetic clutch. This button is positioned close to the steering wheel, so is also within very easy reach.
