About the STIHL AP 500 S Battery
The AP 500 S is STIHL’s most powerful Lithium-ion battery to power STIHL’s professional AP System tools that have a battery slot, or those with a socket when used with the AP holster including connecting cable, the battery belt with harness, or the AP carrying system.
It has a 4-LED charge-level indicator, splash-proofing which means it can be used in the rain, and a Bluetooth interface to allow for use with STIHL Connected, STIHL’s smart way of collecting information from your tool. What makes the AP 500 S unique is that it has power laminate technology which gives it double the number of charging cycles of a typical AP System battery; if you were to work every working day for the next 10 years, you can be sure this battery will see you through.
The AP 500 S is the recommended battery for the MSA 300, where it will provide up to 20-44 minutes working time per charge. It is suitable for use with nearly all other tools (see the product page for working times) except the BGA 300 and SGA 85.
