The STIHL FS 131 Brushcutter is powered by a STIHL 4-MIX® engine, which is highly fuel efficient, low maintenance, and does not require any oil circuit components. Far superior to other four-stroke engines and fully compliant with the EU’s strict Stage V emissions directive, it has a displacement of 36.3 cm³ and maximum power output of 1.4 kW (1.9 hp).

Weighing 5.5 kg (without the fuel, cutting tool and protection), this premium brushcutter includes an AutoCut C 26-2 mowing head and has a cutting circle diameter of 420 mm. The maximum sound power level is 109 dB(A), with a sound pressure level at the operator’s ear of 97 dB(A).

Efficient Starting Mechanism

The STIHL FS 131 Trimmer’s automatic decompression significantly reduces the force required when pulling the starter cord, making it much easier to fire up the engine.

And because this 131 STIHL weed eater has a manual fuel pump, less actual strokes are required. This benefit is particularly valuable after extended breaks in the machine’s operation.

(Before using the STIHL 131, actuate the pump several times, so there is enough petrol in the carburettor to start the engine.)
