Enjoy STIHL’s 4-MIX engine technology
The 36.3cc, 1.4 kW engine benefits from STIHL’s 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology that means it runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke engine, with the advantages of 4-stroke technology but not the drawbacks. Impressive acceleration, power, torque and fuel efficiency with reduced noise and emissions results in an extremely capable machine.
It is supplied as standard with an AutoCut mowing head that can tackle large areas of grass in no time, as well as a single shoulder harness for comfort.
An easy model to work with
The AutoCut mowing head is not only capable of tackling large areas of grass, but features the benefit of allowing you to renew the mowing line as it wears by tapping the head of the tool on the ground. This ensures you can maximise cutting performance at all times without having to stop your work. Other features to enhance the ease of operating the FS 131 R include both a manual fuel pump (delivering fuel at the touch of a button to the carburettor, resulting in fewer starting strokes) and a decompression system (to minimise the amount of force needed to pull the starter cord).
This model also has a long life paper air filter, which can be easily accessed when necessary.
Comfortable operation over long periods
Thanks to its single strap shoulder harness, you can work for longer with this machine, which still only weighs 5.5 kg. It features STIHL’s anti-vibration technology, which dampens the engine oscillations to reduce vibrations present at the handle. This is a loop-handled model, ideal for use in confined spaces and around obstacles, while the important engine and speed controls are conveniently organised within easy reach.
The stop switch also automatically resets to the start position after each use, making restarting the machine more comfortable.
