The ergonomic, rubberised handle ensures a secure and comfortable grip, while the two-handed operation design gives maximum control and stability throughout every cut. The flexible, asymmetrical protective hood enhances safety by shielding the chain while still maintaining a clear view of your work, and it can be folded out up to 90° when using the full length of the guide bar.

Consistent Power and Fast Charging

Powering the GTA 30 are two AS 2 lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AS System, working in parallel to deliver constant power output, even as the charge depletes. This ensures reliable cutting performance from start to finish, without the drop in power that often occurs with other battery tools.

The LED charge-level indicator located on top of the tool gives you a quick view of remaining battery capacity, allowing you to plan your work efficiently. With a runtime capable of up to 180 cuts in 5 cm branches, the GTA 30 is more than capable of handling large pruning sessions in one go.

When it’s time to recharge, the AL 5-2 high-speed charger restores both batteries to full power in approximately 50 minutes, allowing you to keep working with minimal interruption. The included hard case keeps everything neatly organised, with clearly labelled slots for batteries and charger, as well as space for two additional AS 2 batteries if you have others in your collection.

STIHL’s automatic chain tensioning system makes chain adjustments effortless. Simply fold out the handle on the sprocket cover, turn it 90 degrees, and the integrated spring mechanism automatically adjusts the chain to the correct tension—no tools required. Lubricating the chain is just as simple—apply a small amount of the included STIHL Multioil Bio directly onto the chain before use. The eco-friendly oil helps keep the chain running smoothly and reduces friction for longer-lasting components.
