Feels like excellent quality, which I would expect from a relatively high cost product from Stihl. Battery Life appears to be very good.
I personally find it heavy though, wouldn’t want to use for any length of time.
I note you can buy an extender for even higher hedges but surprised you can’t actually shorten the length by making the battery part of the product shorter. This would make it more durable and lighter when cutting short medium and high hedges.

I haven’t used the trimmer properly yet as birds are still nesting in the hedge but I have charged the battery and given it a trial run. It certainly gives me much more access to the top of the hedge and I’m very pleaded with the cut and weight of the trimmer. No leads to get in the way and a second battery so the job can be carried on when the first runs down. Just what I was looking for.

Cuts well and is very handy for those difficult to reach parts of the hedge. It is, I found, quite heavy to use because of its length and so I wouldn’t want to use it for very long at a time. On that basis, I am not really sure you actually need two batteries, as I certainly ran out of steam before the first battery did!

Thanks to this trimmer, I have finally been able to get at all the difficult places relatively easily. It is a well balanced machine, but even though it is not that heavy, needs a harness if using it for any length of time. Only negative is that it sounds tinny and not very powerful which is surprising given that it is a professional tool. However, that aside it does the job.
