Overview of the STIHL MSA 70 C-B Cordless Chainsaw

Primarily designed for domestic use, this versatile chainsaw weighs just 2.5 kg, without the battery. It has a bar length of 30 cm (12 inches), chain speed of 14 m/s, and is fitted with a potentiometer for easy speed adjustment.

The MSA 70’s slim ¼-inch PM3 saw chain ensures excellent cutting performance – in fact, it’s 25% better than STIHL’s MSA 60 C-B model!

And as this chainsaw has very low vibration levels, it’s extremely comfortable to use, which will improve the speed and accuracy of your work.

The EC Engine

Compact and lightweight, the MSA 70 CB’s 1.2 hp (0.9 kW) electric motor is low maintenance and highly efficient.

Not only does this engine fully optimise the power from the battery and have a very long service life, but with a sound power level of 91 dB(A), it’s quiet when operating too.

STIHL’s Quick Chain Tensioning

The MSA 70’s adjusting wheel allows you to quickly and easily tighten, loosen or replace the chain, without the need for any tools.

Turn the wheel right to increase tension on the saw chain, left to loosen it. The guide bar will automatically secure as soon as you tighten the sprocket cover.

Quick-Stop Super Chain Brake

Another great feature of this STIHL cordless chainsaw is its Quick-Stop Super Chain Brake function. This allows the chain brake to be activated from the rear handle, regardless of your operating position.

STIHL is the only chainsaw manufacturer to provide this safety feature, which is particularly useful when carrying out tasks that require frequently stopping the machine.

The chain is stopped in seconds when a sufficiently strong kickback occurs, the front hand guard is operated, or if you let go of the rear handle.

Soft-Grip Rear Handle with Ergo Lever

The STIHL MSA 70 CB Cordless Chainsaw is designed with a soft-grip rear control handle, including Ergo Lever, making it particularly comfortable to use.

In fact, the handle’s soft material actually helps improve your grip on the chainsaw, including in wet weather.

Promoting Safe Two-Handed Operation

With your comfort and safety further in mind, the STIHL MSA 70 C-B’s front handle also features an ergonomic design.

So, due to both handles’ comfortable, user-friendly shape, structure and positioning, you’ll automatically adopt a two-handed operating position, ensuring safer working practice and more precise cutting.

Transparent Oil Tank

Thanks to this chainsaw’s transparent tank, you can easily monitor the oil level, without having to remove the cap. When more oil is eventually required, you can remove this cap without tools.
