About the HONDA UMK 425 LE Petrol Brushcutter

A powerful brushcutter with a loop handle for smaller domestic gardens

The UMK 425 LE from Honda is a straight-shaft brushcutter ideal for cutting grass and vegetation a mower can’t reach. This model boasts a D-loop handle which is suited to reaching the smallest corners of the garden and finessing borders and grass edges; although it is just as capable of tackling tougher vegetation.

A versatile brushcutter, hedge trimmer, and pruner

The brushcutter includes both a tap & go nylon line head which is suited to grass trimming as well as a 3-tooth metal blade ideal for cutting tougher vegetation; releasing more line from the spool is done simply by tapping the head on the ground. There are optional hedge trimmer and pruner attachments available for ultimate versatility.

Featuring a powerful, ultra-efficient petrol engine

The UMK 425 LE is powered by Honda’s ultra-efficient and quiet GX25 4-stroke petrol engine; the engine is so efficient it can operate at full power for over an hour before needing to be refueled. A recoil start system means it is easy to start, too.

Convenient operation is ensured

All of the controls are intuitively placed for ease of use. In addition to being lightweight (dry weight 6.2 kg), the UMK 425 LE has a unique lubrication system that allows it to be used and stored through a full 360° without damage.

Comfortable use over extended periods

An anti-vibration system for limiting vibrations, an integrated barrier bar on the D-loop handle for protection, and a supplied double shoulder strap all ensure comfortable use, particularly over long periods. The UMK 425 LE meets EN2006 ecology emission standards meaning its emissions are low, keeping a pleasant environment for the user and others.

A 5 year domestic/1 year commercial warranty with Honda is included, we will register the machine. T&Cs apply.

    Not used much so far but looks well made, starts easily and is lighter than expected. Slight chritisism is honda should provide a part number for the lithium head grease and should include a tube.

    What a tremendous piece of kit this is! I needed a petrol strimmer for a plot of rough land that has been abandoned and was covered with rough weeds and large nettles etc. My two stroke broke as it wasn’t up to the job, so after research I decided on the Honda – the five year personal use warranty helped in this decisions n!

    The kit arrived well packed and needed a small amount of assembly, but the instruction book is easy to follow and everything is coded.

    First use – I set it up the way the instructions stated, pull the cord and it fired but stopped. Pulled and pulled but then tried it without the choke and off she went – just didn’t need the choke set!

    It sliced through the very thick growth like a knife through butter and a job I had assumed would take half a day was done in an hour. It was faultless – ran and ran apart from when I caught the off button, but it started first time.

    They supply a harness and goggles, both of which made the job easier and safer.

    Second use, no choke set and it started first time. Brilliant! It again sliced through the remaining weeds in no time, making short work of long grass, nettles and other large spikes weeds. It is easy to use, a gentle tap lengthens the cord making for an uninterrupted workflow.

    Hardly any vibration, noise level is acceptable, another Honda win.

    I love using this machine, it is so easy and powerful making the job easy. Thoroughly recommended.
