A dethatcher cartridge for the Allett Stirling 43

With wider spaced and thicker tines the dethatcher cartridge is the most aggressive and ideal for lawns in serious disarray; it removes twice as much thatch than the verticutter cartridge. It rigorously permeates the surface of the soil and removes layers of thatch (dead grass, leaves, weed growth etc.) to leave lawns healthier, thicker, and more luscious; it also prevents against disease (which encourages moss growth). The cartridge measures 17 inch and is part of Allett's ultra-change system, meaning it can be switched in and out of the Allett Stirling 43 cylinder mower in as little as 7 seconds.

When should you use the dethatcher?

Removal of excess thatch should be carried out at least once a year, typically in the Spring or Autumn only when moisture is available for the lawn to recover.
