Husqvarna Petrol Hedge Trimmers 122HD60 are fitted with top-quality petrol engines, which combine impressive power with low noise levels. They have a maximum power output of 0.6 kW (0.8 hp) and displacement of 21.7 cm³. The guaranteed sound power level is 101 dB(A), while the sound pressure level at the operator’s ear is just 94 dB(A), making the Husqvarna 122HD60 perfectly suited for use in residential areas.

Weighing only 4.9 kg, this petrol hedge trimmer is very easy to handle, even for people who are inexperienced using garden maintenance tools. It measures 1,160 mm and has a 590 mm blade, with a cutting speed of 4,050 cuts per minute and 28 mm teeth opening.

Easy, Reliable Starting

The  Husqvarna 122HD60 Gas Hedge Trimmer boasts Husqvarna’s patented Smart Start®. This reduces resistance in the starter cord by up to 40%, so you can rest assured that the 122HD60 will always make a fuss-free start to its work.

What’s more, it also includes Quick Start with Air Purge. This removes fuel from the 122HD60 Hedge Trimmer’s carburettor and fuel system to ensure exceptionally reliable starting.

The Benefits of LowVib® Technology

This premium petrol hedge trimmer is fitted with Husqvarna’s LowVib® dampeners, which absorb the engine’s vibrations before they reach the handle. This helps make the Husqvarna 122 HD 60 an extremely comfortable tool to operate.

An Ergonomically Designed Hedge Trimmer

The Husqvarna Hedge Trimmer 122HD60’s rear handle can be set in multiple positions to help you adopt a healthy posture while you work, and make your hedge trimming as pleasant an experience as possible.

This ergonomic design is further evidenced by the tool’s generously sized cutter bar, which makes it easier to trim all aspects of your hedging from a safe and steady position.

The Auto Return Stop Switch

When you stop this petrol hedge trimmer’s engine, the stop switch automatically resets to the on position. So, once you’re ready to resume work, the restarting process is hugely simplified.

The Fuel Tank

The Husqvarna 122 Hedge Trimmer is designed with a 0.3-litre fuel tank. As the engine has a fuel consumption rate of 575 g/ kWh, you will have ample time to cut an extensive area of hedging before refuelling is required.

HUSQVARNA 122HD60 Petrol Hedge Trimmer Reviews

13 reviews for HUSQVARNA 122HD60 Petrol Hedge Trimmer

  1. Chris Banwell-Clode

Overall disappointed. I purchased this after seeing a review on youtube and to replace my 5 year old Titan (Screwfix) trimmer that still cuts well but is difficult to start and keep running. I purchased the HUSQVARNA in December and when I used it for the first time in March it doesn’t seem to have the cutting power of my old Titan. It starts easily enough and the engine runs well, but it gets snagged on even the smallest of twigs which jams the blades. Also the recoil cord doesn’t rewind strongly enough and without some coaxing with be left dangling 3 or 4 inches. I know I can probably correct this, but don’t think I should have to be doing this on a brand new £279 machine. If I had bought this in a local shop I would certainly have taken it straight back for a refund.

  2. Glen Boon

thank you for a first class service i will be in touch again soon.

  3. Jon Woodland

Great hedge trimmer, powerful and has a nice cut, it is also a lot quieter than others I’ve used. The hd60 also has a very good reach of course. The first one arrived with the cutting blades bent up, I would say done in transit. But Garden Machinery Direct were excellent and sent a replacement out and collected the other one at the same time. I gave it 4 for quality because the blades are a little bit more flexible than my old hd45, but that could be just down to the extra blade length. Could have been a contributing factor in the transport damage though. Overall a great machine at a good price level. Just store it flat with nothing on top!

  4. Len Matthews

This is a good make, I have two chains saws by Husqvarna, and have had excellent service with both – totally reliable. With the recent purchase of the 122HD60 Hedge trimmer, I am happy with the cut, however, starting the machine takes quite a few pulls – every time! But on the whole a good piece of equipment.

  5. Bronislaw Jablonski

    Very good item. 5stars.

  6. Geoffrey Dungworth

  7. Derek Burt

  8. Bronislaw Jablonski

    VERY GOOD MACHINE TO WORK

  9. Alistair Morgan

Best hedge trimmer I have ever bought….excellent quality and quiet in comparison…

  10. Andrew.

    Super equipment and perfect shop.

  11. Richard Peaty

Good hedge cutter for the money, requires slight carb adjustment after run in … other than that it’s great

  12. Howard Pimborough

This is a budget hedgetrimmer and you may read some negative reviews about poor running. This is because the carburetor needs a little tweak after the engine has run in. I have spent 30 years in forestry and landscaping so new what was required. Basic maintenance, oil the blades, grease the crank case and good fuel mixing machine should last you!.

  13. Dubie

Nice piece of kit, It made good progress on my hedge. So far so good.
