The ideal mower for small to medium lawns
With its 39 cm / 15 inch cutting width, the Mountfield HP41 is well-suited to gardens up to 20m x 20m. It comes complete with a 40 litre grass collector, which can also be easily removed to empty it or should you wish to leave the cuttings on the lawn. You have the choice of five cutting heights between 25 and 70 mm, changed with four levers.
Comfortable & robust
This is a lightweight machine, making it easy to manoeuvre and use in the garden. It has an ergonomic handle and polypropylene cutter deck that is durable and resistant to corrosion, so you can rest assured your machine will be able to handle the jobs you throw at it. As a hand-propelled mower, it is ideal for flat lawns where the user wants to have full control over speed.
Powerful & safe to use
This model uses a Mountfield 100cc RS100 Blue engine that gives it sufficient power to provide excellent cutting performance through the deck. It uses an operator presence control safety system so that as soon as your hand leaves the handle the machine ceases to operate, allowing you to concentrate on your lawn without having to think about your own safety.

I love this mower! It starts so easily and it is exactly as powerful as I need. I use it for getting to the places my ride on cannot so the push along nature is perfect. I would imagine if what you want to do is to cut a normal lawn, you may want a self powered one but this is perfect for my needs.
Also, I found Garden Machinery Direct excellent to deal with. The machine was ready assembled. All I had to do was pull the cord and off I went. They also delivered this next day which is exactly what I needed.

A mower in the post. Brilliant service and kept informed the whole journey through. Light weight and easy for medium size gardens so makes a great cut in long grass as well as making a lawn look like a bowling green.

This is a perfectly good mower. Cuts well and afterall we did inherent a very overgrown garden it dealt with the first few cuts well which is bit plastic compared to my old Hayter mower that I had for 27 years. I would have expected a bit more to it. So will be interesting to see how this one gets on. The instructions were not that great figured it out myself.
