Great machine, performs well even if it does sound noisier than the spec. Best always to use ear defenders. Can’t find anywhere in the spec the correct size of the mowing/strimming line supplied with the machine. I’ve had issues in the past with using the wrong size on electric trimmers burning out motors so I’d like to see the size specified in the various specification lists. Maybe someone can help?

Instructions ok for assembly. The strimmer starts easily from cold & runs well. The spool head seems more robust than some others I’ve had & pays out cord well. Have used it for several days now & it’s working well.
You may pay a bit more for Stihl equipment but you get a good product that lasts. Well worth it.

Arrived on time in robust & tamper-proof packaging. Simple & clear zero-language assembly instructions – easy. FS55 needs 5 minutes on idle at first to warm up before zipping anything. This new Stihl has no grease valve on the gearbox like my old one. Sure, it runs lumpy in the first 10 minutes and then the revs smooth out and the power goes up, a lovely piece of kit. Great company to deal with. Recommended (5-stars).
