The saw must be used with either an AP 200 S, AP 300 S, or AP 500 S battery to optimise performance. Maximum runtimes for these batteries are 42 minutes, 62 minutes, and 74 minutes respectively. For the best balance to weight ratio, STIHL recommends choosing the AP 200 S.
