I got to the gym three days a week but using my electric pole trimmer, often fully extended to 3.3m is a work out. This harness, if properly adjusted, can take a lot of the weight of the machine, and the heavy 3000 battery, but as you extend the cutter more support is required, I feel. I bought the quick release bracket to clip further up the pole, and the webbing kit, and this works well. The harness is really well built, and very comfortable in use. I would say it is essential, as is the add-on battery case/support stand. So, on top of the cost of the pole trimmer allow another £150 to turn it into a great bit of kit, which is much less tiring to use.
