The EGO EGSP1401 Solar & Battery Kit provides independent power for compatible EGO robotic mower RTK installations. Designed for the EGO ARA2000 RTK Reference Antenna, it removes the need for a nearby mains electricity supply. This provides greater freedom when choosing the most effective position for your RTK reference station.

The system combines a solar panel with integrated battery storage, creating a self-sufficient power solution for suitable installations. It is particularly useful across large estates, open landscapes and remote boundaries where mains connections may be inconvenient.

Position Your RTK Antenna Where It Works Best

The RTK reference station requires clear sky visibility to support accurate positioning for compatible AURA-R2 robotic mowers. However, the best location for satellite reception may not be conveniently positioned beside an outdoor electrical socket.

Using solar power removes this restriction, allowing greater flexibility when positioning the reference antenna around your property. The antenna can therefore be located to achieve a clearer view of available satellite signals.

Reliable Power Throughout Day and Night

During daylight hours, the high-efficiency solar collector generates energy to support operation of the connected RTK reference station. Excess generated energy is stored within the kit’s integrated rechargeable battery for use when sunlight becomes unavailable.

Stored battery energy keeps the reference station powered overnight and during periods of overcast weather. This combination provides dependable operation without requiring permanent power cables to reach the chosen antenna position.

Support Accurate PATH IQ Navigation

The ARA2000 RTK antenna provides positioning information used by compatible robotic mowers within the EGO PATH IQ system. Correct antenna positioning helps provide the clear satellite visibility required for centimetre-accurate positioning data.

Removing dependence on mains socket locations gives installers greater freedom when selecting a suitable position. This can help avoid locations affected by buildings or other surroundings that could compromise clear sky visibility.

Avoid Long Cable Runs and Trenching

Installing an RTK station away from existing electrical supplies can otherwise require long outdoor cables or additional power infrastructure. The mains-free solar design removes the need to run a permanent power cable to the reference station.

This can simplify installations across larger properties where the preferred antenna position is some distance from existing power supplies. It also avoids unnecessary trenching solely to provide electricity for the compatible RTK station.
