Purchased this machine 8 months ago. After very little use the on off switch failed to work and the recoil starter cord pulled out and failed to recoil. According to garden machinery direct because the machine is over 6 months old I am not entitled to a refund or exchange. Poor machine and service

Warranties are held with the brand and not the dealer purchased from. Whilst we can look at the machine for you, it’s recommended you visit your local approved dealer who will be able to diagnose the issue for you and fix it either under warranty or for a charge (this is to save you the cost and hassle of having to return it to us).
Generally, recoil starters are not covered under warranty as they are classed as general wear and tear. This includes the recoil rope, handle, pulley, spring and internal parts. But your local dealer will be able to confirm this.
