I have used Stihl equipment exclusively for many years and purchased the FS91R as a replacement for a “very old” Echo” brush utter which had been excellent.
The Stihl FS91 has good build quality but I find it disappointing in operation. The engine starts easily and idles evenly but at higher throttle settings it is very rough running with a misfiring vibration unless under a good cutting load; no doubt caused by a rev limiter but very annoying and heavy on fuel. I am reasonably tall and have found that the balance of the machine and angle of the cutting head make it difficult to get it parallel with the ground unless it is absolutely flat. Even slightly uphill or downhill slopes are impossible to cut evenly without scalping and the finish ends up looking very poor.
Overall verdict is that this is a great machine for large flat areas but for anything else the operator must be less than 5ft tall or must have at least 3ft 6in long arms but be prepared for noisy rough running engine.
