Overview of the STIHL GH 460 Petrol Chipper/ Shredder

The flagship model of STIHL’s superb range of woodchippers, the GH 460 Petrol Garden Shredder is fitted with a premium Briggs & Stratton Series 850 EXi OHV RS engine, with a displacement of 190 cm³. It also features a sandwich-style blade unit, including razor-sharp Multi-Cut 450 cutting attachment, which rotates at 2,740 rpm. The direction the blades rotate can be changed at the touch of a button.

Weighing 59 kg (without fuel), this superior woodchipper for sale measures 1,080 mm (length) x 850 mm (width) x 1,370 mm (height).

The GH460’s Twin-Chamber System

The STIHL GH 460 Tree Shredder includes two separate feed chutes: one designed for hard woody debris, the other for softer green waste. Each is equipped with special blades to deal with the type of material being shredded.

Together, these chambers can cope with incredibly high volumes of chipping and shredding, including branches up to 60 mm in diameter.

The Soundproofed Feed Chutes

This petrol wood chipper’s feed chutes are soundproofed to reduce the chipper machine’s noise levels while it’s busy shredding. Thanks to these noise-insulating chutes, the GH 460 Garden Waste Shredder has a guaranteed sound power level of 104 dB(A), with a sound pressure level at the operating position of just 96 dB(A). This makes it remarkably quiet for such a powerful wood chipper machine, and so suitable for use in residential (and other noise sensitive) areas.

Stay Protected with Splash Guard

The GH460 Wood Shredder is designed with an extra-wide chassis and ergonomic handles, which, when positioned facing the ground, double up as a supporting frame. This gives the wood chipper shredder a really solid footing, and provides supreme stability during intense chipping and shredding work.
