The MSA 160 C-B is a robust cordless chainsaw for versatile woodworking tasks, and part of STIHL’s professional battery system which offers quiet, emission-free performance.
The 30 cm / 12 inch bar combined with the low-vibrations, low-kickback 1/4 inch PM3 saw chain can easily cope with branches up to 20 cm in diameter; it is a fantastic saw for horticulturalists, anyone working in property maintenance, cutting firewood, or doing sawing work in enclosed areas.
The MSA 160 C-B has some nice features that help make using it easier and more comfortable – exactly what you need when working all day long!
The presence of two handles – one ergonomic control handle with potentiometer function for infinitely variable speed control, and a rear control handle with a soft-grip, ensure a safe as well as comfortable operating position.
With STIHL’s Quick Chain Tensioning you simply adjust the chain by releasing the sprocket cover and turn the knob to set the optimum tension – no tools needed! A transparent oil tank also has effortless tool-free access.

You don’t have to worry where the nearest power supply is, or deal with petrol fumes, loud engine noises and high vibrations, expensive engine maintenance or complicated starting. Instead you can work where previously you might not have been able to reach, or where petrol tools would be too polluting – you don’t even need to wear ear protection.
