Part of STIHL’s AK System of battery-powered tools, the STIHL RLA 240 Cordless Lawn Scarifier comes with both fixed scarifying blades for aerating the soil and a spring tine roller attachment for combing the thatch out of the lawn. It has a rated power of 900 w and working width of 34 cm (13.4 inches), so offers superb levels of manoeuvrability.

The guaranteed sound power level is 94 dB(A), with a sound pressure level at the operator’s ear of only 77 dB(A). This makes the RLA 240 a great choice of scarifier for use in residential (and other noise sensitive) areas.

The STIHL RLA 240 Battery Scarifier features two practical handles, which are positioned over the centre of the unit. This ensures you can easily carry the scarifier to and from its place of storage, without any awkward tilting causing damage to the machine.

When not in use, the scarifier’s handlebar can be folded down for space-saving storage.

Battery Operating and Charging Times

This RLA 240 Promo Kit is supplied with two STIHL AK 20 batteries, so you can keep one in reserve for when the other is charging. Each lithium-ion battery provides sufficient power for the machine to scarify a lawn up to 250 m² in size on a single charge. A spring mechanism makes removing them simple.

The AL 101 charger will restore an AK 20 battery to full power (from 0 – 100 %) in 180 minutes.
