The 36 v STIHL HLA 135 Cordless Long Reach Hedge Trimmer comes with a friction-optimised 600 mm cutting blade, with 34 mm tooth spacing. It has a maximum power output of 0.76 kW (1 hp) and three-stage speed control. Part of STIHL’s AP System, the battery is inserted directly into the tool’s housing, offering you greater mobility and flexibility when working.

Weighing 5.4 kg (without the battery), this long-reach hedge trimmer’s total length is 2,470 mm. It has a sound power level of 96 dB(A), with a sound pressure level at the operator’s ear of just 85 dB(A), making it ideal for use in residential areas.

The Double-Sided Cutting Blade

The HLA 135 Long Reach Hedge Trimmer features a double-sided cutting blade, which allows you to cut vertically, horizontally and diagonally. This means you can trim and prune all areas of your hedge both comfortably and effectively.

The STIHL HLA 135 Long Reach Hedge Trimmer can be fitted with a STIHL Smart Connector, so you can link it to the STIHL Connected app and portal.

These facilities automatically send you information about the tool, such as its age, operating hours and maintenance status. So, if you’re responsible for more than one of these hedge trimmers, you can maintain a useful overview of the entire fleet.

Recommended Battery and Charger

STIHL recommends using one of their AP 200 batteries to power this tool, in order to optimise its performance. This will give the HLA 135 a running time of up to 64 minutes before it needs recharging.

A STIHL AL 501 charger takes just 45 minutes to fully charge an AP 200 battery (0–100%).
