Built to cut through firewood and small trees and shrubs thanks to a chain speed of 14 m/s and a 12 inch bar and 1/4″P PM3 to deliver cutting efficiency for domestic jobs.
Easy to use and operate
Expect a smooth operation and minimal disruptions thanks to an opaque chain oil tank, giving the user full access to the oil levels whilst using the chainsaw and reducing the requirement to stop working to check for oil level. The MSA 60 C-B chainsaw requires minimal servicing thanks to an efficient electric motor. The user can also adjust the tensioning of the chain without the need for tools thanks to a quick tensioning system.
Built for optimal comfort during use; the MSA 60 C-B boasts a comfortable, soft grip rear handle which also has an interlocking system built in to make the chainsaw safer to use. Adding to this, the MSA 60 C-B also features a QuickStop chain brake which ensures the chainsaw stops working if the chain kicks back or the user releases the rear handle, minimising any risks and preventing any injuries whilst using the MSA 60 C-B.
Battery & charger
The MSA 60 C-B requires a compatible battery and charger to operate and these are not included. We recommend buying an AK 30 battery with a working time of 45 minutes and an AL 101 charger to use with the MSA 60 C-B for optimum performance.

I already owned the Stihl cordless lawn mower and leaf blower that used the same AK20 battery as the MSA 60 C so when I needed a small chainsaw it was logical to get this one body only and save almost £100 by battery sharing. I’ve owned several much larger petrol chainsaws in the past and was realistic this cordless model would be nothing like as powerful. It was purchased mainly to do one job of cutting the roots to remove a garden tree then cutting up the tree for firewood. The performance of this small light saw was beyond my expectations and completed the task easily. I have since used it for cutting large timbers when making a pergola and it makes quick work of a 100mm fence post or 150×47 joist. The cut is nice and clean too. Just one bit of advice… buy a spare chain or sharpening file as it’s even more important with a cordless you don’t try and power through with a blunt blade.
