Easily prune branches high up with this top-handle chainsaw
The MCS 50 Li is a chainsaw from Mountfield’s cordless Freedom 500 range; it makes light work of woodcutting tasks, and with its top handle is for use by licensed individuals only. A compatible battery and a charger are required to operate the chainsaw, but are sold separately incase they are already owned, in which case the shell only can be purchased on its own.
Excellent cutting performance
The chainsaw boasts a 12 inch / 20 cm bar and chain for easily pruning branches and chopping wood; with the recommended 4 Ah battery you can achieve around 80 cuts on logs up to 15 cm per full charge. The addition of a loop handle that also features a soft grip allows for comfortable and precise cutting.
Cordless power means hassle-free use
Thanks the the latest Lithium-ion battery technology, the MCS 50 Li really is a pleasure to work with; it weighs an incredibly light 3.45 kg which means you can use it in comfort over longer periods, while also being quiet and low on vibrations. There are no fumes or power cables, and it’s also very easy to use and maintain – basically what you’d expect from a standard electric model but without the cable!
A battery and a charger are required
Mountfield recommend the 4 Ah battery although the 5 Ah battery is also compatible (but not the 2 Ah battery); a charger is also required and there is a standard charger and a fast charger to choose from.
